Your 38 hours in NYC

In November 2017 I happened to visit the city of dreams New York, which conquers at first sight.

And also, I was happy to meet my girlfriend, Ksenia, a real New Yorker, because she already lives 10 years in this amazing metropolis.
I trused her to write this article. Enjoy!

I know a lot of people who come to NY after they basically stop at Time Square, then run around like crazy for “must see” places and in the evening go to dinner somewhere on the Broadway, where they are ripped off a lot of money for a mediocre dinner.

Impressions of NY in these people are very mediocre. It makes me very sad. Because 10 years ago NY conquered my heart once and forever and I love it with all its shortcomings, just like my husband 🙂

But in fact every person who tells me that they were not impressed with NY and sometimes even disappointed. I want to bring them back to the weekend in NY, and show what is the real NY life 🙂 For this I need only 38 hours.

We’ll start on Friday evening, you just moved into your hotel somewhere in Downtown like Public hotel.

7 PM. You took a nap and at 7 o’clock go to Carlyle hotel for a glass of champagne and jazz. Carlyle Hotel is where you’ll see real New Yorkers sipping their martins, and if you’re lucky you’ll hear Woody Alena listen to him there often. In Carlyle there is a spirit of success, a beautiful life and you feel the feeling that everything in this life will be as you want, especially after a second glass of champagne 🙂

11 PM. Rose bar. Leave a good tip to your pretty waiter, jump into a taxi and head to the Rose Bar. One of my favorite places with interesting people, delicious cocktails and incendiary music. The later you get there, the harder it is to go there. But I’ll tell you a secret. Beautiful long-legged girl on face control’s name is Jesse. Give her a smile, and say how happy you are to see her, even if you see her for the first time in your life;) In general, this phrase, the key to a successful entry even into the coolest clubs 🙂

2 AM. By this time you are probably hungry, and it’s time to drop into the legendary Joe’s pizza. There’s a queue you can run into the hungry Leo, who is Dicaprio 🙂

Saturday

10 AM. A run in the Central Park. It seems to me that even a lazy person will want to run in the Central Park. Be sure to circle around the lake. A sight that can never get bored.

12 PM. Blue stone cafe. The most delicious coffee and toast with avocado you will find in Blue stone cafe. A small Australian cafe in the former church building with huge ceilings and gospel atmosphere will not leave you indifferent.

3 PM. Museum time. In a couple of blocks from the Blue stone cafe, you will find the famous Guggenheim. To be honest, besides interesting design inside there is nothing interesting, but the photos for Instagrams are very beautiful 🙂

If you are still interested in art, then next door is Met. In which you can wander for hours. My most favorite hall is the Egyptian, where there is a real pyramid. Very impressive.

6 PM. The most beautiful sunsets, on the most beautiful roof of the city in Boom Boom room. Every time I go there, I think I’m on one of the airships of the Star Wars!

8 PM. Sometimes choosing where to go for dinner in NY is a whole dilemma, as there are a lot of tasty places! Therefore, one place to recommend is almost a sin. I will tell you about several.
For delicious guacomole and Margarita go to Cosme.
Pasta, as in Italy, you will find only in Saint Ambreous.
If you want something more authentic, that is a steak or burger, this is Strip House.

Sunday

12 PM. Black seed bagel, if you are not married and you do not have children and at 2 am you ate pizza, the chance that you will wake up before 12 is very small 🙂 A real, delicious NY lunch is bagel.

1 PM. Elizabeth street garden. Take your baigel under your arm, grab the Sunday newspaper NYtimes, and head for Elizabeth street garden. A small park filled with unusual sculptures, flowers and eccentric inhabitants of NY will not leave you indifferent.

3 PM. Soho. The rest of the day I propose to spend in the soho, just walking along the small streets looking into the shops, bookshops. Be sure to buy cards to relatives and friends. Postcards just will not leave anyone indifferent!

Before returning for things to the hotel, be sure to check in any vending place on the snack and plan your time so that you arrive at the airport in advance, since traffic can be unpredictable.

And New York is waiting for you again, because you opened only the first page of a book called “New York”!
